The Storm blew this little house down to the lower branches, and we got a chance to check out the building materials...glad to see someone else besides me is putting all this wool to good use...
Speaking of wool...I'm on a quest to knit down the stash - (I SWEAR no more yarn till I see the hidden corners of the house finally empty of yarn...) and I just finished one badly needed addition to the sock drawer:
I got bogged down in the first sock trying to knit with these cuter-than-heck bitty circular needles. Saw them and just HAD to give them a try. While they will meet the requirements for knitting while on jury duty (I think) they are just not as fast as good ole DPN's. Once I gave up the circulars, I flew right through. Lesson learned.
Back to the quest....

Ack! You posted!!! Those have to be the tiniest circular needles I have ever seen -- talk about extremes! I know how much you like change (ahem) but I would recommend two circulars (not tiny). Once you get the hang of it, it's freeing! Love the use of wool on that nest. Such creativity.
Two at a time with Magic Loop, Sis, I'll tell ya!
I'm trying to stash bust too!
But I am so with you on those tiny circulars! I almost threw a set away out of frustration. Give me my dpn's!!!!!
Nice to see everyone (including the nest occupants) is safe and warm.
I've done the two at a time, and the circulars, but hands down I am fastest on the DPN's. That said, the two-at-a-time method has its place - like socks for the DH. Those are plain and big...killers to my flea-sized attention span...
I've always hated DPNs . . . too many points to poke me in the hands and get caught in/on my cuffs and other spots. Plus, I feel like all I'm doing is changing needles, changing needles, changing needles! Having said that, I can't make the really tiny circulars work right either. Yep, I find them s-l-o-w, too. (Let's see . . . anything else I can whine about?)
I'm wanting to pare down my fabric stash like you're doing with your yarn stash. I wish us both luck.
