Got a minute?

I need your assistance...or rather, a neighbor does.

Jordan, a local farmwoman, suffered the most heart-wrenching, devastating event in a homesteader's life - the senseless, brutal loss of her animals to a vicious dog. Her two little does were killed by a neighbor's dog and today she is grieving the terrible loss, trying to sort out the best path to take, and wondering what could have been done.

If you have ever been through this type of thing, or if you live in fear of it (like I do), or if you just have the knack for supporting someone in need, could you go to her blog and leave her a note?

Thanks. I owe you one..

I can't tell you how shocked and saddened I was to read Jordan's post first thing this morning. If only all of us could have gone to be with her today. A loss like she's suffered shouldn't have to be handled alone. It will be a long time before she's able to rid her mind of that image of carnage. Hoping fate will deal with her totally irresponsible neighbor.

Your new header picture is OUT OF THIS WORLD! Will you tell what kind of camera you have? I'm in the market for a new one. (Although, as anyone who knows anything about photography will tell you, it's the eye BEHIND the "machine" that truly matters!)

The camera is a FUJI Finepix S700. Got it at Walmart. The "eye" behind the camera is my daughter, Madison. She takes amazing photos on a regular basis. I can't even manage one...(sigh)
