FO spotted...

Yippee!!! an actual, real, live, honest-to-goodness finished object! One down, seventy million (or so) to go.

This is the famous Farm Sweater. I got a hold of neck-down, raglan-sleeve, all-in-one piece (mostly) sweater directions and was so excited I had to do it. (Note: I started this months ago. Excitement is apparently a fleeting and fickle thing.) Used yarn I had bought long ago when employed and relatively stupid about yarn, so it was screaming to be used in something.
I came up with this one round, stripey idea to ease the blending...
And used the easiest cabling ever to make it look pretty. Viola!

I updated the knitting widget below, posted on Ravelry, and am moving on! Next?

I am in love with the colors and the design! I like my sweaters large so I will take an XL, perhaps in the fall colors. If I send some of my roving from my secret hiding place, do I get a discount;)?

Wow! I'm so impressed. I have lots of FO but they are all small. I've been wanting to make a sweater but hae been too chicken to even start one. Is this knit or crochet?

You guys are TOOO nice. I would gladly knit sweaters for those of you that want...but really, are you prepared to wait till 2012??? That's probably how long it would take me to get through my current stockpile of projects!

I can't say enough about this pattern, though. I mean, cast on 76, knit in the round, simply make stitches at the markers, and keep going...you have no idea how intoxicatingly easy it was...

But for a person with startitis...it's like a brownie for a chocoholic...

I. Must. Finish. Other. Projects. First. (breath deep, repeat, breath deep, repeat...)

The February 2009 issue of Hobby Farm Home had an article featuring a similar construct; reading it was what got me inspired to start this one. If you need a template of basic instructions, e-mail me and I can send you what I have written up.
